The issue of sexual harassment in the workplace has become a major concern for all employers, and especially those in the mortgage industry where women frequently fail to report and employers often do not have proper procedures in place. Further, in 2018, in response to the #metoo movement, numerous states and cities have enacted laws aimed at ensuring that employers comply with specific requirements for policies and in-person training. Employers who ignore their responsibilities to enforce their anti-harassment policies and fail to investigate harassment complaints risk significant financial loss and damage to their brand and image.
This presentation will answer how lenders can ensure compliance in 2019, create a harassment-free workplace, and limit legal exposure in this area.
